Jason Giambi circa 2001

The beauty of baseball is that the season takes a long time. Therefore, any given season has its own plot twists, character development and other dramatic devices. 8 weeks ago I was saying he’s the 25th man on the roster. The big thing was to get Randy turned around – Baltimore is [...]

Jason Giambi circa 2001

Grrrrr. I puposely didn’t mention his meaningless HR. (1st HR in 11 games).

Jason Giambi circa 2001

One can certainly appreciate what Giambi did today, but I think the key to this game was A-Rod’s solo HR that gave the Yankees a 10-0 lead.

Jason Giambi circa 2001

As my Father has said, Giambi may be the key. If this guy regains his form, his Pre-Yankee form with high OBP, average, and RBI – he can carry this club offensively.
A reinvigorated Giambi makes Yankee management’s decision more clear: GET PITCHING.

Jason Voorhees…

Cchh..Cchh…Cchh..hah..hah..hah…
Botson: “what was that?”

Giambi — Reversal?

Yanks are up 12-2 in the 6th. Joe just pulled Giambi after his second double. He was 3-4 with 2 doubles, a HR, 2 RBI and 2 Runs scored. As he left the field he was given a standing ovation. Just like ancient Rome, the Mob’s loyalty is fickle indeed.

Jason Vorhees…Godfather

JASON VORHEES!!! … Godfather

Yeah, but the Godfather was never quite the same after getting shot. More of a planner/plotter. Whereas, Jason got stronger after every attack. I think by the time Friday the 13th X (JASON X) came around, Jason could crush a skull with his pinky finger.

JASON VORHEES!!! … Godfather

For us older guys, maybe the analogy should be like the Godfather, Where the Godfather (Yankees) takes five shots outside of the Genco Olive Oil office and Solozzo (RedSox) and Tataglia (Orioles) think he is dead, but he recovers to plan (along with Michael) the murders of the heads of the five families.
“Leave the [...]

JASON VORHEES!!!

Right now I view the team as Jason Vorhees. It has the murdered teams at times, then looked dead, only to rise again. Boston and Baltimore keep throwing pitch forks in the Yankees’ chest, see them fall down, and assume they are dead and walk away. Then they turn around and the [...]
