Kudos
By the way, kudos to Len for recognizing that Giambi was coming around back in June. If only the rest of the lineup was in somewhat of a groove.

I agree with most of the clutch-o-meter, which is why Mike T. does it – he’s got a good feel for it. Sierra should be a little higher, but not too high because you can’t be clutch when you’ve got an aching hammy.
Despite hitting below the Mendoza line with RISP, A-Rod’s HR [...]

Was I that transparent? Fine, I’ll just spell it out:
Dad,
I’ve captured Jason Giambi. Please send me $500,000.00 in cash and one pot of Mom’s sauce with meatballs and sausage (And it better be warm).
I don’t know why you have such an affinity for Jason, but if you ever want to see him again you’ll [...]

I need to give some credit to Len (Dad) on Giambi. Somehow you knew this guy was gonna turn it around when the rest of us wanted him gone. I’ve read and heard on the radio that the prevailing thought throughout the league is that “He’s back.”

I agree with most. I would have kept A-Rod even, although you had him a little low last time. I beleive that Sierra should be higher. That guy does nothing but get big hits. In the additions, I might at least give Proctor a positive number.

Although he had a clutch HR yesterday, I might have kept A-Rod even. He has hit .130 with RISP over the past month. Jeter should have dropped alittle more. A few additions to the list:
Embree (-5)
Franklin (-5)
Proctor (-5)
F. Rodriquez (-5)
Flaherty (+7) Limited playing time and lousy average, but Posada should handle pitchers [...]

Clutch-o-Meter has updated its in-season rankings for Batters (with change from June 27 Rankings). And new this week Clutch-O-Meter stats for pitchers.
Current Clutch-O-Meter Stats…
Matsui 9.0 (-.2 only b/c of current mini-slump)
Jeter 8.9 (-.1)
A-Rod 7.2 (+1.3)
Bernie 7.2 (-.4)
Tino 7.0 (-.4)
Giambi 7.0 (+4.6 would be higher if he hadn’t been so low)
Cano 5.8 (+.1 – [...]

In the past the Yanks shipped out clubhouse cancers quickly- Mel Hall, Cliff Johnson. But Shef “isn’t going anywhere”. He is a muti-millionaire with the personality of a angry street thug.

Daily News article on Sheffield running his mouth:
This isn’t the YMCA Gary. This isn’t a church group. This is New York and you’re playing for the Yankees. You’re not getting paid $39 mil for 3 years so that your f’n wife can fly on the charter plane with you.
