I don’t want to hear anyone in Yankee’s Management blame this year’s disaster on Pitching injuries. For the most part, the substitute starters have done a good job. Blame a bad bullpen, bad defense, lack of clutch hitting, all put together by a bad front office.

Just think where this team would be without Chacon, Small, and Wang. Throw in the couple of good games that Leiter pitched as well. This team could very well be under .500 at this late point in the season if it weren’t for the aforementioned. A $200 million disaster in every sense. [...]

What a joke. This game isn’t even over and I’m already pissed off. This team is either scoring 10 runs or none at all. Absolute garbage. This team has no life. Two great pitching performances from Small and Chacon have been wasted.
Bernie and Posada are finished.
We can’t even say that pitching is [...]

Just heard on the Yankee broadcast.. Pavano has Rotator tendenitis. Needs 6 weeks of rest and then rehab. So he’s out for the season.

So, the explanation is that Konerko is hitting .207 off of lefties? He’s got like 27-28 HRs! All it takes is one swing there. Even with that average, he can still get around on one pitch. I can’t believe this… I agree with Steinbrenner! That’s how poorly Torre [...]

It was obvious that Jim Katt disagreed with Torre on leaving Embree in. He said he was “surprised by the decision” about 4 times, including in the post game interview. I heard that Konerko was batting .207 against lefties this year, which maybe is part of the reason Torre left Embree in. [...]

Ok. Here’s my two minute rant about last night’s game. Another outing from Chacon where these guys dont score any runs for him. Soon this guy will get depressed and will be ineffective if they dont support his excellent pitching. Torre has lost the ability to manage. When Womack got [...]

I was in Atlantic City for a couple of days (up only a little – enough to cover the hotel room). Anyway, going into last night’s game I thought an appropriate title would be the “Heartless versus the Gutless.” Contreras against the Yankees, certainly there would be at least some incentive to [...]
