Wait, I thought the “real” leader of the Yankees was Gary Sheffield?

Sheffield has not even been here two years and thinks he’s the man. Yankee fans obviously know Jeter is the captain and proves day in and day out why no one regrets naming him the captain and why everyone is happy that it’s he who is carrying on a proud tradition.

We are seeing a first ballot hall of famer right in front of our eyes. Mo is simply amazing and there are no words left to describe him. If Torre ever makes the Hall of Fame as a manager, he better thank Mariano Rivera for getting him there. Because last night was a perfect example of Joe letting Gordon screw the inning up and having to bring in Mo at the end to save the day. I was worried (not on getting Dellucci) but Joe not getting Mo up in time to save the inning. He cut that one close.
