I like the sentiment about Sheffield, but this guy is an egotistical jerk. Moving him down may shut him down. He reacts selfishly rather than with the team in mind.

I think Matsui will really heat up with A-Rod behind him. More so than A-Rod will with Matsui in his rearview.
My theory
