Well said Mike G, well said. This Yankee team can’t even put away Tampa Bay!
Joe Torre is to blame for the loss. I’m tired of this team. This has been such a long tedious season. We’ve been spoiled.

that’s all.
Oh… and I disagreed with Torre’s decision to take Lieter out. The guy finally has a pitch count that let’s you leave him in, and Joe yanks him. I can’t remember ever disagreeing with Torre as much as I have this season.
Way to take advantage of the Boston and Oakland losses.

I like the sentiment about Sheffield, but this guy is an egotistical jerk. Moving him down may shut him down. He reacts selfishly rather than with the team in mind.

I think Matsui will really heat up with A-Rod behind him. More so than A-Rod will with Matsui in his rearview.
My theory
Those who watch this team know that Matsui is inherently more clutch than A-Rod. Although, throughtout the league, A-Rod is the more feared hitter. Therefore, Matsui benefits more so with A-Rod [...]

Detroit and Baltimore have been our friends in the way they’ve handled Boston and Oakland in their recent series’.
Detriot beat Boston (6-5) this afternoon and Baltimore is going for the sweep against Oakland (Leading 2-0 now in the 3rd).
The Yanks NEED to win tonight. NEED.
I like the line up. But Giambi needs to [...]

Yes. You can flip-flop A-Rod and Matusi. But I don’t think you go wrong either way. I like it.

Absolutely! Good point about Womack. What exactly is his function if he can’t get the bunt down.
Also, ok – i’t time – I am calling out Gary Sheffield. His performance lately has, to put it mildly, left alot to be desired. For the most part, his RBIs are meaningless. [...]

This is Tampa Bay we are talking about. Last night was the perfect opportunity for the Yankees to give Mo a rest. What do they do, they leave the bases loaded with no one out in the second, get thrown out at the plate and fail to execute simple sacrifices. After Flaherty [...]

Before I make these comments keep in mind, I had some debate in my mind as well, so I’m not bashing Torre just because the game was lost. We must also remember he gets 6 million dollars to make these decisions.
I went back and forth on whether to bring Mo in for [...]
