Yes I forgot to mention Mo. He does have that steely eyed stare that he will give. I have also seen him get a smile where he clinches his teeth as well (very rarely).

A comment about MVP: If the Yankees make the post-season, the Most Valuable Player award will go to A-Rod. It won’t even be that close. Historically, voters will not give a DH the MVP award. That is not to say that Ortiz will not get votes, he will. He received votes in the past two years. The voters believe (and I happen to agree) that it is difficult to give someone the MVP award who does not play defense. It’s an entire facet of the game that Ortiz does not participate in. On the contrary, it is a part of the game where A-Rod excels (I believe he has not committed an error since June and that’s pretty good considering he’s a third baseman). Even if you consider defense taking only 15-20% of a player’s overall importance to his total game, that’s 15-20% that Ortiz does not provide. If the Yankees do not make the playoffs , it’s a tougher call. If that happens, I could see Vlad getting it again if the Angels make the playoffs.
