Word on the street is that the Yanks and Bernie have a “wink-wink” contract:
1. Yankees offer Bernie arbitration.
2. His agent, Boras, rejects it.
3. Yankees then have until Feb 1 to renegotiate.

Pierre dealt to Cubs

Yup. Juan Pierre was dealt to the Cubs for three pitchers. Maybe now the Yankees can get Corey Patterson from the Cubs – whom I’ve wanted from the start.
