Yeah that’s right… presumably Young was supposed to take over. Unless they have Podsednik play CF and get a different LF. Podsednik played CF in Milwaukee.

Good points Russ. Maybe pitching for Guillen will help Vazquez. Who knows…
To your point on Young, I just remembered something I read on the Aaron Rowand trade: part of the justification was that White Sox brass believed Young was ready to take over in CF.

The OF prospect Chris Young is supposed to be very, very good. I wish the Yankees had him. I’m not going nuts over this deal like some people. Vasquez proved that he was very shaky while in the American League. I’m not sure if he can pitch in the AL. [...]

Thoughts on the Vazquez deal?
I don’t know anything about Young, the OF prospect the White Sox sent to Arizona along with El Duque and reliever Luis Vizcaino but it seems like Ken Williams made a great trade.
The White Sox just improved a very good rotation in my opinion.
