That’s why placing Jim Rice in his proper context era wise is so critical. Rice was more dominant than Joe Carter. Joe Carter was a good player, not a Hall of Famer. Some of the others on that list as well (Andres the Giant, etc., etc.) If you just go on similar numbers you can get some wacky results.
