Read in Newsday today that it looks like the Yankees are going to pass on Piazza. Apparantly Cashman discussed it with his scouts, in particular Gene Michael. The “Boss” has stayed out of it. If this is true, then it’s another example of Cashman’a authority this year and how “Stick” is influencing decisions again. I like it.
