In spring training, Jeter has to reach out to A-Rod. I don’t think there needs to be any “earth-shattering” discussion, or a “let’s talk about our feelings.” Hell, this ain’t Oprah! Perhaps just a change in attitude and behavior on Jeter’s part. During an afternoon off, Jeter, A-Rod, Posada and Pettitte could play a round of golf. How about a hunting trip? Mike, no pictures of A-Rod in hunting gear, please…..but that visual is funny. Anyway, everyone gets my point. Strawberry could take everyone out to his favorite Tampa nightclub… no, wait a second maybe that’s not a good idea.

Whether you make $20,000 or $20 million everyone wants to be comfortable in their jobs. And, even though I am an A-Rod supporter, I will admit he is “needy.” Ok, maybe he’s Stuart Smalley needy but Stuart couldn’t hit 50 HRs! (which is why we keep A-Rod around)
