Randy Rumors
by RussYes! Let’s get this guy out of town! I am willing to admit that I made a mistake with Randy. I was an advocate for acquiring him 2 years ago thinking that he could do “warm up” in the regular season and save himself for the post season and work some magic. I mean, he had a stellar year prior to coming to NY. Anyway, that’s in the past – it was wrong to bring him here. Unlike Fonzie, I can admit when I’m wrong. Let’s ship him back “Randy it just didn’t work, we’ll try to accommodate you as best we can, go to the west coast and fade into the sunset.” – get some prospects, shed his salary and go forward. I believe this will get done. It doesn’t really matter who the Yankees get in return (but I’m sure Cashman will hold out for the best package). It won’t be difficult getting Randy to waive his no-trade clause (he probably can’t wait to get out of here either). Is there any doubt that he hates it here?  Â
I am not a fan of Clemens. But it would appear that he is on the horizon if Randy is out of here. I’ll have to put up with Clemens, but to get Randy out of here – I’m willing to do it. Clemens comes with his own set of headaches. But now that I’ve experienced life with both of them – I’ll take the Clemens’ set of headaches over Randy’s.Â
With regard to the Giants – I don’t what the deal is. I hate the players, Coughlin has not distinquished himself. He has to get them ready to play. But I do not like any of these players. They are quitters.Â
