Finally, a sportswriter who understands integrity and the sanctity of the Hall of Fame.  Scott Miller from Sportsline writes that he did not and will not vote for Mark McGuire on his Hall of Fame ballot.  Basically, if you discount McGuire’s HR totals, the rest of his resume is extremely lacking.  Lets hope there are enough sportswriters out there like Mr. Miller to keep McGuire and the rest of the Steriod Suspects out of the Hall.

It would be a shame for next year’s induction, which is sure to include Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken (and possibly Gossage or Rice), to be marred by the controversy associated with admitting McGuire to the Hall. Â
