Something we can all agree on, so rare at the Table. At a press conf. today George Karl, the Nuggets coach, called Isiah Thomas a “jackass”. Thomas costs James Dolan suspensions plus $500,000 fine. After “dim Jim” went to bat for him last week!

Just looked him up. 64 SO’s in 51 innings but 31 walks. The impressive stat is only 1 HR given up. The guy made $347,000 last year. Gonna take a lot to get him. I’d rather see him in the 8th than Farnsworth.

2006: 24 saves, none blown and a 2.17 ERA. I’ll take that. Three way trades are pretty rare at getting the trigger pulled, I would be pleasantly surprised if this idea had legs.

Kind of a light moment here at Fenway Park a few moments ago:
Daisuke Matsuzaka was touring Fenway Park with Sox brass and stopped at the pitcher’s mound. Team owner John W. Henry positioned behind the plate as his catcher, but when Matsuzaka’s offering sailed over Henry’s head, Henry lost his balance, fell back … and [...]

For the division to be a toss up, Dice Mat better be as good as Wang. Wang has done it for almost two seasons. Dice Mat has never thrown a pitch. Why does the national baseball media continue to drink the Red Sox Kool Aid?

I did not hear him. But he is emboldened by the fact that he thought the Tigers would beat the Yankees in the Division Series. He also of course, picked the Tigers to go all the way, but that’s another story. Oh, and that was after he said the Yankees would not [...]
