I’m sure most heard about the report that Bonds tested positive last season for a “serious stimulant” believed to be anphetamines.  Upon the release of the report, Bonds then tried to blame it on Mark Sweeney (his teammate).  Sweeney has since denied this obviously.  Barry, Barry, Barry….

I don’t consider anphetamines to be in the same league as steroids, although it is against the MLB substance abuse policy, but baseball doesn’t treat it the same either – there are lesser penalties for testing positive.  But it raises the question, that if Bonds felt he couldn’t get away with using steroids last season, did he resort to anphetamines, or he just cut out steroids and was using anphetamines all along – figuring if he did get caught, the first offense wouldn’t result in a suspension?
