Not that I’ve watched a lot of football this year, but football is winding down…. the best of that season is over.  Reporting dates for spring training are still 4 weeks away, the intense part of the hot stove season is over, the NBA is so boring, there is nothing compelling going on in the NHL and the NCAA tournament is still so far away…. yuck, yuck and yuck!  So, I’m going home at night singing songs about Cookie Monster, Elmo and reciting the alphabet to my 14 month old daughter.   

Anyone could have predicted the reports that Yankee Stadium will be awarded the 2008 All-Star game as the new stadium is scheduled to open in 2009. 

I got nothing.  I can’t even complain about Torre on a day like today only because I haven’t heard a Subway commercial…  Â
