I love it!  Good observations all around.

This is a big year for Matusi.  With Sheffield gone, probably downward production from Giambi in all likelihood, it is essential that Matusi go back to his old ways of 155 games and hit .295, 30 HRs, 115 RBIs, .380 OBP and play solid defense. 

I have always thought that when the Yankees pulled the trigger on A-Rod, they knew they were going to be locked in for the long haul because of the no trade and the escalators.  A-Rod is not opting out of this deal.  For better or worse, he is here, hopefully it’s for the better in the long run.

Cano can wear a Power Rangers costume and still hit .325 (pick any color).  Cano can hit.  We can put him in scuba gear, submerge him off the coast of Austrailia, in a shark cage and he will still hit .325.  It makes no difference.  I am at peace with the fact that Clemens will be a Yankee for 2007.  I’m ok with that.  Johnson for Clemens, that’s good.
