Jeter’s Armor

Jeter’s armor is not inpenetrable.  His handling of the A-Rod mess deserves a near failing grade in my opinion (which could be resurrected to a certain extent).  In matters of the heart, Mr. and Mrs. Jeter did a fine job in raising him so he’s probably nothing but a gentleman.

Yankees going to China

Interesting article in the Times about the Yankees executives visiting China. They have the blessing of MLB to open up merchandising oportunities, which will benefit all of baseball.  And while they’re there, maybe look into starting a baseball academy like they do in Latin America.  As a business, they are way ahead of everybody else.

Randolph Rewarded

The Mets brass must read the Roundtable.  Willie was rewarded as he should have been.  They ripped up his deal for 2007 and gave him a nice raise.  Here’s the breakdown: 2007 – $1.4 million; 2008 – $2 million; 2009 – $2.25 million; and club option for 2010 at $2.5 million.  This is a good [...]
