Joe – Absolutely correct on Jeter. If Torre is going to play favorites and if Jeter hasn’t learned to be a leader, which it appears he hasn’t, we can throw any hope of a “Big Year” out the window.

I have no problem with Mussina speaking his mind. Why is it acceptable for A-Rod, a player who works incredibly hard and shows up every day, to be subjected to the scrutiny he receives while Pavano flys under the radar with his complete lack of effort? Ridiculous. These things need to be aired prior to the start of the season.

It’s also noteworthy to point out that Pettitte has taken Pavano under his wing.   

It’s finally happened. The day I’ve been waiting for has arrived. My cable provider Tele-Media was purchased by Adelphia two years ago. Adelphia was purchased by Comcast last year. Yesterday, Comcast announced that they will be carrying the YES Network in High Definition. I have had this fancy HD TV setup and couldn’t watch the Yankees in HD.

Now I can watch the drama of the 2007 season unfold in true 1080i glory. I will be able to see ALL SEVEN hairs on Joe Torre’s head and the seams on a Carl Pavano breaking pitch at the moment it gets crushed deep into the New York night. Each disgusting drop of sweat and filth on Jason Giambi’s face will be clearly discernable.

My HD Yankees dream will finally be realized.
