Pavan-uh-o

Klapisch writes for ESPN that “Just three days into camp, Pavano had to be excused from PFPs (pitchers’ fielding practice) because of heavy legs. Even though he participated in his regularly scheduled bullpen session the next day, the fact that Pavano experienced problems so quickly undermined the success of the winter’s rehab.”

Sheffield’s comments

Gary Sheffield has criticized Joe Torre for not playing him in game three of the playoffs. Then he says that he wasn’t ready to play because of his wrist. The worse part is that Joe acquiesced and played Sheff when he shouldn’t have, and that cost the Yankees in 2006.
