I don’t care when it was taped.  This is what bothers me.  I have to sit there after (a) playoffs loss and listen to Torre say: “Well, we didn’t do this or we didn’t that.”  He always resigned.  Instead of being resigned how about being “resolved.”  Resolved to not let it happen again.  Even if it’s 90% perception and 10% real, I want my manager (even if only by perception) thinking about nothing but how to defeat the opposition, or how to make the team better.  Nothing.  This is infuriating. 

Well, the Vets voted no one in.  I always thought Hodges and Kaat were overdue.  Hodges was more complete than Rice.  Kaat was the best pitcher on his staff – something I can’t say about Sutton or Niekro.
