Predictions – 2007

So, another season, another round of predictions. Here we go!
A.L. East -
1. Yankees – They didn’t go crazy in the off season. They dumped the malcontents and brought in Pettitte. Wang, is one of the ten best pitchers in the game. Cano would hit 3rd on half the teams in the [...]

I love the Internet

So I have this fancy HDTV setup. It has been great to watch shows like 24 in HD. While I get the YES Network, it has not been available in HD.
I received a letter in the mail from Comast on February 17th. The letter announced that there would be some changes to Comcast’s HD lineup and that YED HD [...]

Sean Henn – so there is no identification problem

This one is for Len:
Sean Henn
Warms up in the pen
Not Sean Penn
He is the actor Commie bastard.
Note: (I was never good at haiku)

Pavano

I was thinking that this first start for Carl is important. But then again, he had a good outing in his Yankee debut and still ended up dropping the ball (no pun intended).
I guess after a layoff as long as Pavano’s this is a big moment. I am predicting: 6 innings, 3 walks, 6 [...]

Decisions made

Pavano gets opening day (big surprise) Josh Phelps beat out Andy Phillips and Will Nieves beat out Todd Pratt, which is alittle surprising since Torre loves a veteran backup catcher.  Sean Henn gets the second Lefty reliever spot over Ron Villone.  Well there you have it.  Let’s PLAY BALL!

Cup of Joe

Since I’ve had about 20 cups of coffee today, I guess I can have one more.  I would be honored to do it next week.  I’ll wait until after Monday – (I’ll be in attendance Opening Day so that will be good).  I hope I’m up to it.
I’ll probably have to discuss how A-Rod got [...]

Glad you’re back

Good to have you back (sanity wise)  Are you calm enough to do Cup of Joe next week?  This is your chance to raant and rave all you want without anyone telling you to take your meds.

Ok, I’m back…

to Earth after a momentary lapse of reason.  Moose will be staying on his 5th day though.  That’s how come he’s not going to start on Monday (heaven forbid).
Lowering back to STEINCON 4.  But as far as Swindal goes, STEINCON is at a 1.

Swindal

it seems awfully quick that the divorce and next-in-line to the throne stripping came so swiftly after the DUI arrest. Gooden and Strawberry had more chances than that. My guess is the drinking thing was a longer term problem and the arrest was the straw that broke the wife’s back. By the way, she is [...]

Enough Already

I am tired of hearing about Roger Clemens.  He retired from the Yankees four years ago.  Give it a rest.  The Yankees are not the Astros or the Red Sox.  They don’t make concessions for ballplayers just because they are good, or great.  Bringing Clemens back would be a huge mistake, in my opinion.  Preferential [...]
