Old Timers.

Matsui is an old timer on this team.  The scary thing is A-Rod has the 7th longest consecutive tenure of any current player. Since the Rainstorm in the Dessert over a domed stadium with the roof open in October 2001, there have been little “long term” deals given out by the Yanks. Jeter got his 10 year [...]

Yankee

Wang no longer uses an interpreter.
Coached (for better or worse) by English- and Spanish-speaking teammates, Wang occasionally even drops colorful language into conversations. After one recent bullpen session, Wang told coach Larry Bowa that his stuff had been a nine-letter word beginning with “horse.”
What the hell is taking Matsui so long?
