Dump Waldman and Sterling

Mike T, I heard that comment as well.  I want to start a dump Waldman and Sterling campaign.
They are like communist propaganda PR people.  You never hear objective comments.  They never offer anything worthwhile and they are extremely condescending.  They are shills for management.

Tampa Bay just went ahead in the game.  Can we trade our [...]

Wanger… You’re Back!

Suzyan Waldman just said in the top of the 2nd that she was sitting in the clubhouse talking with Wang when Alex ran over jumped into Wang’s lap and said “Wanger! I love you you’re back!  I’m going to take you on a date!”  Well….Alex is happy.  That’s good.  That quote…..Not so good.  I guess [...]

Dump Torre

Hey, I was out of the office all day.  This is a weird day.  Obviously, it’s depressing seeing your team swept by their hated rival.  We can take solace in the fact that it is only April 23 and we play Tampa this week.  This is not really the “team” that should be measured in a [...]

Girardi

Giradi is the man.  Although, I think he couldn’t keep his coaches.  Each one would think that they deserve the job before Girardi.  No matter who the replacement is, it’s a major disruption.

Dump Torre

I am not in disagreement with the campaign. But, it gets interesting thinking about who would take his place.
Mattingly? I’m not sure he’d be a good manager at any point in time, let alone taking over this team now.
One of the former managers (Pena, Bowa)?
Girardi may be their best bet. Who knows. Any creative suggestions [...]

Nice Cup, Len

Tough to argue with your top five.  That top five would probably be in the top ten in the whole sport.  Now if you extend the list to top ten Yankees, it gets interesting.  Who gets in?  Rizzutto? Remember what Ted Williams said. “If we had Rizzutto, Boston would have won all those World Series”  [...]

Top 5.

Tough one Len.  Assuming only position players are eligible, it would be hard to crack a top five of Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, DiMaggio and Berra.  Jeter (at the end of his career) will be close to those and will in all likelihood be in the top 5 (statistically) all time Yankees in Batting Average, Hits, [...]

Give a guy credit

Say this for Chase Wright. His pitches stayed in the strike zone. Not for long, but he has good control on middling stuff. That’s what it takes to win in Double A, and I hope for his sake the rotation gets healthy and lets him get back there ASAP.
Seriously, he ran into a Boston buzzsaw turned up [...]

A Cup of Clueless Joe

First, I want to say thank you to Joe for asking me to write down some of my thoughts. And, thanks for waiting for after April 15th.
I have two themes for this piece: the first being how enjoyable this season is so far and the second a retrospective on the history of the Yankees franchise [...]
