As Russ said, tonight is the BIG GAME.  If Pettitte can outduel Matsuzaka tonight, I think they could conceiveabley have a chance to sweep this weekend.  Wakefield vs. Karstens is a fair match up.  Wang should dominate Tavarez. 

Here’s some predictions

SUPER BEST CASE SCENARIO – Starters turn this around, Pettite is strong, Hughes shows up, Mussina is good off the DL. Yankees run off 8 straight.  3 vs. Boston, 3 vs. Texas, 3 of 4 vs. Seattle. Record on May 8. 17-13.

BEST CASE SCENARIO - (2-1 vs. Boston, 2-1 vs. Texas, 3-1 vs. Seattle) Record on May 8.  15-15.

WORST CASE SCENARIO – (1-2 vs. Boston loose first 2 games then win on Sunday Wang vs. Tavarez to break 8 game slide), (1-2 vs. Texas Hughes roughed up, Mussina not enough strength off the DL and Pettitte win) and (2-2 split vs. Seattle). Record on May 8 – 12-18.
