I agree John. The reason is this: Farnesworth does not let Torre use him whenever he wants. Kyles says, “No, I can’t go today.” He doesn’t want to let Torre burn him out.

I know that Mussina is just coming back from the DL, but isn’t 64 pitches in 5 innings just a little early to be pulling him out (especially in a double-header).  He was dominant. I think he could have stayed one more inning!  Anyway… a very encouraging performance, and a well-needed sweep.

Giambi – nice baserunning move in game one.  I won’t get picky they swept the doubleheader.
