Does this team have it in them?

Here are the facts.

The Good – Against MIN (2-1), CLE (3-0) and TEX (5-1), the Yankees are 10-2.  These are the only three teams against which the Yankees have won a series.
The Bad – Against SEA (3-4), TB (1-3), BAL (1-2), OAK (1-2), CWS (1-2), the Yankees are 7-14.
The Ugly – Against Boston, the Yankees [...]

No Guts

That’s this team – “No Guts.”  Why are we catering to Abreu?  I don’t care about Abreu.  I don’t care about his “feelings.”  Bat him down in the order.  He won’t even be a Yankee next season.  Read my lips: He won’t be a Yankee.  Melky will play LF, Damon will DH, Andruw Jones will play [...]

SERIOUSLY, SOMEONE FIRE TORRE

WHAT THE HECK KIND OF LINEUP IS THIS!!!

Abreu
Jeter
Giambi
A-Rod
Matsui
Posada
Cano
Cabrera
Meintkiewicz

Seriously, why is Abreu leading off?   Is it his .239 Batting average or his .309 OBP?  Why is Posada not hitting behind A-Rod?    Where is Mr. Fragile (a.k.a. our Centerfielder Damon).   Until further notice the top 5 in the order should be as follows.

Damon
Jeter
Matsui
A-Rod
Posada

The rest can play rock paper scissors to [...]

We Wove Wang!

Stopper.  We needed a good pitching performance.  I believe he is going to rattle off some victories now.  Oh, and my feeling about Matusi was confirmed.  He drove in 4 runs last night.  Move him up in the order please! Today’s game is a “must win.”  All kidding aside.

Independent thoughts???

Tuesday’s Daily Snooze had the back page dedicated to the “Dirty Dozen” and an article by Lupica, and a blog by Feinsand talking about the Dirty Dozen.  I do not read the Daily News and usually the paper in the vending machine shows the front page.  Did I subliminally see someone on the train holding the paper?  I don’t [...]

Clutch Ruling

I need some input on an amendment to the clutch rules (the idea brought about by a situation in last night’s game). Derek Jeter’s RBI Triple in the 7th to increase the lead to three seems like it would fit the clutch criteria and warrant a +1, but according to the current guidelines, it [...]
