If you saw the very end of the game, you saw the blank stares on the Yankee faces. Especially Abreu. He is totally lost. He needs to sit down for awhile. The whole team looks bewildered and embarrassed. Russ, how about a good Cup o’ Joe to make us feel better?

That would be a Blue Jay, a very mean tempered bird when it comes to its territory. And aggressive Blue Jay baserunning makes our most experienced clutch pitcher look bad as he gets home stolen on him.
Clemens must be upset the Yanks are imploding, but his timing from a dollar standpoint was excellent, as he [...]

A play you never see anymore. Aaron Hill pulled it off. It’s so rare, the Yankees apparently do not have an indicator for it beyond: “Andy throw home!” When Andy heard the yelling, he thought he had balked. Even so, that’s the highlight but it doesn’t tell the story. The Yankees tied the game up [...]

Yes, Russ, the clowns are in the main ring, but scary like the one in Stephen King’s “It”, only a whole mess of them. Last night I watched the entire bloody mess. At one point Singleton was talking about how Ron Villone had great attitude back in Triple A, and fielded all his grounders and [...]

Russ is right, Torre’s stewardship of this listing and lifeless ship with a bunch of mercanaries who care only about their paycheck and little about winning has robbed me of my passion for this team. Examples:
Friday, after Torre took out Clippard too early, he brought in the Rookie who had never pitched out of the [...]

I had this dream that the Yankees were 13 games back of Boston, several games under .500, the team had just been swept by the Angels and then played a lackluster game in Toronto after a closed door meeting called by the Manager.  And the headlines read: “Business as Usual.” Anyway, I woke up to what [...]

Why was Clippard taken out of the game. It was 3-2, he was doing moderately well.  I thought he could have handled the 5th. I immediately questioned his decision to bring in DeSalvo. Again, this is CHESS it aint CHECKERS! Mike Scoscia is in the other dugout. Desalvo has never pitched in relief and the [...]

Good stats, Mike. Yes, the Braves only won 1 WS, but that’s not Smoltz’s fault. Smoltz is a Hall of Fame pitcher, right now period. As for Pettitte, his post season record is tarnished by Game 1 of the 1996 WS and Game 6 of the 2001 WS. Grrrrrrrr…………

40 games, 27 Starts
2.65 ERA
15-4 record
4 saves

207 innings, 168 hits, 61 ER, 67 BB, 194K, 1.135 WHIP
The Braves may not have won that many World Series during his carreer, but it certainly was not because of his pitching. (FYI – Pettitte is 14-9 with a postseason ERA over 4.00
