 Unrelated- took my son to Antietam battlefield national park in Maryland over the weekend. There we found a bronze plaque listing general officers who fought in the battle – one was Brig. Gen. Abner Doubleday, USA. Four generals were killed in the battle, so old Abner was no chicken, I’m guessing.
