I’m scratching my head…

and not because I have fleas.  This makes no sense, unless Yankee management knows something that we don’t.  They must be very confident about Chamberlains ability to fill the setup man role.  Torre ruined Proctor’s arm, but I’d rather have Proctor than Farnsworth.  I guess nobody wanted Farnsworth even if the Yankees picked up all [...]

Like Mike said… confusing

Mike said in a post earlier today that if Gagne goes to the Red Sox and Proctor is moved… this afternoon’s developments make no sense.  Cashman was completely out foxed, out maneuvered, whatever you want to call it.  I can’t believe what an idoit he is.  Our bullpen weakened.  The Red Sox pen is strengthened.  [...]

Betemit for Proctor

It looks real per SI.com. What does a younger Miguel Cairo really do for you? Now Vizciano’s arm will be falling off instead of Proctor’s. There has to be more to this, he said hopefully.

Out-foxed and Out-Managed

I’m not going back on my position – I didn’t want any deals.  So, Gagne to the Red Sox doesn’t bother too much.  I am bothered by our bullpen getting weaker.  I am bothered by the fact that Cashman is regularly (with few exceptions) out-foxed by other GMs and our manager getting out-managed by other [...]

Gagne to the Red Sox

With Gagne, Papelbon, and the Japanese guy the Sox pen is formidable. Ouch.

Cashman, pack up your desk…

I want him fired.  I want him fired right now.  I want him out – I want him “frog-marched” out of his office with a trenchcoat draped over his face by security.  I want him gone.  I want him out of here.
We can make room for Gagne, we don’t need to trade Proctor to make [...]

So Long Scott

Apparently, the Proctor Betemit deal is all but done.  I don’t see how this is a good move.  Betemit is 27 already and has not shown exceptional skills.  Ok.  He is a switch hitter, but how does this really help the team. A-rod, Cano, Jeter are all regular players.  Philips has been adequate and good [...]

Proctor for Betemit

ESPN is reporting that this deal is already in the works.
I’m sitting here at my desk pissed off.  My coworkers will have no idea why.

I’m going on record now…

Russ, I completely agree. Like I said a week or two ago, this would be a nonsensical deal.
While I don’t think it would give them A-Rod leverage, should A-Rod opt out it will at least give them an option at third in a league where no good third base options exist .
If they’re really making a [...]

I’m going on record now…

If Cashman trades Scott Proctor for Wilson Betemit – I WANT HIM FIRED ON THE SPOT! HE WILL HAVE LOST MY SUPPORT ENTIRELY! NO! NO! NO!  Wilson Betemit?  Has that what it has come down to?  Is Betemit so much better than Andy Phillips?  No, of course not! If Cashman does this – I want [...]
