I don’t like the way this ended

The Incentive program is stupid.  Especially for a manager.  You either want him back or you don’t.  He gets $6M if he makes the first round??  Stupid.  If you wanted him back then pay him the $7M and be done with it.  The Yankees look small.  They would have been better off just saying goodbye.

TORRE SAYS NO THANKS….

Just heard the same……. like I said last week, either you want him back or no.  Pay cuts make no sense only from a public relations standpoint.  I guess Torre only loves the job at a certain price.  Hey, I’m not going to be hard on Torre, he doesn’t want less money – the cut was [...]

TORRE ARRIVES IN TAMPA

Joe Torre arrived in Tampa this afternoon accompanied by Cashman and Trost. Here we go….

Dear Yankee Brain Trust,

I know Cashman has said they want to get it “right” and they will take their time.  Sure, it doesn’t look bad for Cashman, what does he care?  It looks bad for George because of what he said.  And sure, no one has sympathy for George, but Cashman works for George and should be protecting [...]
