Caretaker Manager

Gang of Four

Well, from Russ’s Saturday post Hillman is off to KC and LaRussa back to St. Louis. Which leaves a gang of four, not one of which is Mao’s dead wife.
On Bobby Valentine- he actually makes more in Japan than the current MLB managerial pay leader, Piniella.

Managerial Search

Heard a caller on the Michael Kay show suggest Tom Kelly.  Not a bad idea.  Great baseball tactician.  Players love him.  Ok with the media.  If not the manager, would he accept Bench coach under Mattingly?
