Choice, Paul O’Neill, We won with Brosius
by John BChoice:Â
The issue is choice when it comes to making a major move for the 2008 Roster:
Johan Santana or Miguel Cabrera? The Yanks can’t have both because the same parts would be traded for either player. Letting go of a young starter might be more palatable when you’re getting the best pitcher in baseball in return.
If it’s me…I get Santana.
Paul O’Neill:
Is anyone else hearing that Paul O’Neill might be a Yankee coach? I would love to see that.
We won with Brosius:Â
In the wake of A-Rod’s opting out, I’ve been hearing on the radio that ”they won with Brosius” and they don’t need a guy like A-Rod at third. Yes, that’s true. But it’s because we had Tino Martinez, Paul O’Neill, Chuck Knoblauch, David Justice..etc. etc. We didn’t need a power hitting 3rd baseman because the power was well-dispersed to other positions. That isn’t true of this team. So the Brosius argument is stupid.
