by RussI don’t think Kennedy, Melky and Torbata gets it done. If the Marlins were willing to part with Miguel Cabrera for Melky, Kennedy and Torbata – I would do that. But I don’t think that will do it. I may be pleasantly surprised though….. I think the asking price starts at Hughes and Kennedy or Chamberlain and Kennedy. Obviously, I then tell the Marlins to walk.
Cashman or Assistant GM Jean Afterman reads the Roundtable. It’s obvious from the offer of arbitration. And when you add in the fact that when A-Rod eventually signs with the Angels, the Yankees press a tampering case, and settle for a couple of more picks, then we’re really cooking. Â
