I would generally agree with the numbers you have there. I have a feeling that Hughes may become the #2 starter this year. That being behind #1 Pettitte (see below). I’m hoping for 15+ wins out of him. I’m very optomistic.

I have had a bad feeling about Wang since early September of last year. I hope I’m wrong, but that bad feeling has stayed with me and I think his problems may continue into this year. He uses one pitch to be as effective as he is, and everything else works off that. If he loses his hard sinker, he is “meat for the beast.” That is what happened at the end of last year and I’m not sure he’s going to be as dominant as he has been. I pray I’m wrong.

I’m iffy on Moose. You all know I’m a fan of his, but he may be done. I see his season as going one of two ways: 1. He regains his composure and puts up 13 wins , 2. He fizzles and only gets to 3 wins. If he fails, I don’t see Girardi letting him have a 2000 David Cone season.
