by RussI think Hughes maybe slated to go 180-190 innings. I think we’ll have to see how the season goes.Â
As far as Hiliary goes…. she has run one of the worst campaigns in recent memory. But, sometimes the best campaigners aren’t always the best Presidents, and vice versa. Whatever your opinion of her this has been bad. I mean, that SNL comment in the debate… stupid. I like the “throw Barrack another pillow” comment, but leave it at that – don’t go after the moderators for “why do I get the first question all the time?” Isn’t that why you’re there? To answer questions, right? Look lady, you want to be President, you can’t handle the first question? There’s no consistency here, one moment it’s “I’m happy to be on stage with you…” The next day, it’s “Shame on you, Barrack.”Â
As far as Obama goes, everyone is giddy about him now. However, I say wait for the Republican “playbook” to be unleashed on him and everyone will sing a different tune when reality sets in. The reason why the Republicans keep rolling out the “playbook” for the last 40 years is……. IT WORKS! Those guys are geniuses and must be respected. Let’s be honest here, the Democrats have essentially won 2 presidential elections in the last 40 years: Carter in 1976, and Clinton in 1992. If there’s no Watergate and no Ross Perot, let’s be honest, the number would be zippo. I don’t count Clinton 1996 because of Perot, and don’t give me Gore in 2000 (that he won). Balderdash! Gore gets an honorary mention for running the worst campaigns in history. Peace and prosperity, and he loses…. don’t get me started. I say all of this as a life-long liberal Democrat. But, I am a student of history and can look in the mirror and laugh about it. The Revolution is over….. we lost a long time ago. Â
All that’s left is baseball. Baseball, Ray is the one constant. (to quote Field of Dreams)
