There has been some talk about the Yanks and Mets possibly swapping these players. The Yanks would need to send more than Cano, but I’d take Beltran in CF. Although, I would like someone younger than Beltran for Cano.

He got canned as well. He was with the team for many years. It must hurt more when your firing is pretty much ignored when the press makes a big deal over non-entity Bobby Meacham. Guess Rich had a “we will carry you until we don’t make the postseason” clause in his contract.

I think Mike T made the comment about Meacham’s removal saying something about Girardi. We know in this organization when the season is deemed a “failure” then changes are on the way, and first and foremost, the coaching staff.
