Watching the Rays jump into a big pile, unrestrained joy. Not one of those guys looked older than insanely happy eight year olds. Some day they are going to drag a guy whose rib cage was crushed and needs a defibrillator from the bottom of one of those celebration piles. I watched most of the game, here Maddon played his bullpen well and they had what it takes. What Price did in the 8th and 9th with almost no MLB experience was massive fun to watch. Playoff pressure and performance at its best.
Russ won’t back the AL Series entry on principle, I respect that. But rooting for Philadelphia with its obnoxious fans, I can’t go there. I’m even sorry they won the Series (their only win ever) in 1980.
