Now that the most prestigious sports franchise has a joint venture with one of the swarmiest (I’m thinking the Bengals and some NBA franchises might be somewhat swarmier than the Cowboys), the bartending side of the new catering operation can be handled by two new drinking buddies – Pacman Jones and Joba Chamberlain.
Hal Steinbrenner was instantaneous with 100% backing of Joba, as the Yankees are “family”. Wonder if the utility infielder or long relief mop-up man would be defended so quickly and unreservedly in similar circumstances.
Better Joba has a DUI and addresses it now than winding up like Jim Leyritz; I doubt if NYY management still considers Leyritz part of the extended “family”.
