MLB.com is reporting that the Yankees may not offer Burnett a contract because he is seeking 5 years.  Gee….. you think?  Never – I repeat Never.  I’m ok with Sabathia, Joba, Wang, Lowe and Hughes.  That doesn’t even consider Pettitte, who we still have to see about. 

How about shopping Matsui to Seattle?  If Matsui gets cleared…. and Cameron is signed to play centerfield for a season, what are the thoughts on Manny then? 

I was always against Manny, but I’m just typing out loud here.

This is just preliminary.  As I look at this it’s right handed heavy, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.  The Yankees have always been vulnerable to left handed pitching.  It’s still average in team speed – although it’s better at the bottom.  Just thinking here.  There’s no doubt that Manny can deliver the goods and hitting behind A-Rod would obviously make the top of the lineup incredible.  Thoughts?
