I tend to agree.  Last week I wanted to wait until the winter meetings.  They are here.  Let CC talk to whoever he wants and if he can’t make a decision (or if there arent’ indications that he is leaning towards the Yankees) then withdraw the offer.  Let his market “readjust” in the absence of the Yankees.  Cashman and then turn his attention toward others.

I like the idea of looking into Brad Penny.  When healthy, he can come close to giving you what CC can.  Then should we sign Derek Lowe then the rotation is:

Penny; Wang; Joba; Lowe; Hughes (Pettitte?) —- it’s not bad, there’s just no lefty there.  Ollie Perez?  Hmmmmm…. there’s a bit of a dilemma here.
