Pettitte and the unspoken.
by Mike TAndy has no right to complain about his offer. As you may recall, Mr. Pettitte negotiated a $16M contract last year with the Yankees, knowing that he was linked to the Mitchell report, knowing that he used HGH, and knowing that he was about to be dragged into the whole Clemens mess.  That didn’t stop MR. Pettitte from putting his name on the dotted line. The Yankees stood behind Pettitte. Girardi was up on the deus with Pettitte when he gave his apology admission and Posada, Jeter and Mo were there for support. The Yankees could have taken a much different road. They didn’t. Pettitte owes them in my opinion. And since he his not going to get $16M from someone else, and there are lots of other guys who can give you 200 innings of league average stuff. Andy should take the offer and shut up.
