Yesterday on WFAN, they were talking about how the Yanks should consider Bonds.

I wouldn’t be averse to bringing in Bonds for a year. The issue is this: He hasn’t played since 2007, so who knows if he still has it???  Sure, you’ll know a little more in spring training…but if he is your only plan for A-Rod protection in 2008….and Bonds isn’t the same….then what do you do? Too late to get much else at that point other than from a minor trade.

Bonds might be great as a DH. Heck, the Yanks brought in Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden years ago…they’ve dealt with Giambi, Pettitte et al. Why not Bonds? Like Mike T said, a one year deal.

I would pitch around A-Rod all day long to get to Bernie. If it was 1999, I would still pitch around A-Rod all day long to get to Bernie. :)
