A source reported that the Yanks and Burnett have agreed to a 5-year $82.5 Million dollar deal.

The Yanks will sign either Teixeira or Manuel. But, the reason I think the Yanks MAY end up signing Teixeira is this:

They know they need a big bat. It’s no secret.

According to Peter Abraham, Brian Cashman left Las Vegas before the Rule 5 draft and Yankee reps won’t say where he is.    Where could he be?  Burnett?  Lowe?  Tex?

Geez.  You go away on business for a day and the world falls apart on the Roundtable.
I realize that the Yankees are not printing money, and that locking up Texiera is going to be tough to do if they are going to spend another $15M per on Burnett.  But Who is protecting A-Rod in this [...]

Either the Yanks are doing to the Sox what the Sox did to them by entertaining Sabathia…or there is serious interest.

Russ, in the words of Ed McMahon… “you are correct sir”  Let me reiterate, I don’t want Manny on my team”  I know the offense on this team is weaker than last year.  I would rather bring Giambi back for one year to DH than have Manny.
