I love it. It makes me feel so good. I enjoy visiting BostonDirtDogs.com to see all the jealousy, the complaints, the worry, the whining, the nonsensical commentary typical of Boston Red Sox fans. This Red Sox Nation fan site calls the Teixeira signing “Carl Pavano, Part Deux“.

This is the same site that a month ago headlined with, “Is There a Portuguese Prince on the Horizon in Boston?”

Now that he’s a Yankee, he’s akin to Carl Pavano. The jealousy brings a big smile to my face.

John Henry’s ownership philosophy for the Red Sox is akin to him sitting at a table in a five star restaurant and ordering the least expensive wine on the list. That’s your perogative and it’s your problem. Don’t stare at the Steinbrenner table in horror as they order the 1787 Chateau Lafite.

Maybe Henry is better suited to own the Pirates or the Royals or a Dennys restaurant.

They have that “quaint” rinky dink stadium in Boston that they keep “upgrading”.  It’s like putting a spoiler, some new rims, a Weber carb, and a subwoofer on a 1969 BMW 2002….instead of opening the wallet for a new BMW. “Ohh, but the 2002 is a classic Bimmer! It’s BMW’s most famous model.”

Don’t blame the Yankees for their wealth and their ownership philosophy.
