Let's not go overbaord here now either...

Torre was one of the greatest managers in Yankee history. 12 seasons, 12 playoff appearances, etc. blah blah...you all know his record...

I can't say I never want him to come to the Stadium again. I do think he should enter the HOF as a Yankee. He did a lot of good for this organization.

This book seems to be a bad decision...BUT....none of us have read it yet!

Let's not go overboard. He criticized A-Rod and Cashman...two guys that many people in the Yankee organization may not like anyway. So what? Yeah yeah...what happens in Vegas.

But let's not crucify the guy.

That's right. Jeter has never won an MVP. Although he was robbed of one in 2006 when Justin Morneau won the MVP even though he was not the MVP on his own team (Joe Mauer was in my opinion).

Jeter's line in 2006:

154 games - 118 R, 214 Hits, 39 2B, 14 HR, 97 RBI, 34 SB, .343 BA, .417 OBP, .483 SLG, .900 OPS.

My sentiments exactly! I could not have written it better Mike ... it's perfect!

I hope he is never invited to set foot in Yankee Stadium (at some point we stop calling it "the new" Yankee Stadium, right).

I suppose some day he will make it to the HOF ... perhaps he should enter in a Dodger uniform!!! He doesn't deserve to put on even a Yankee cap ... never mind uniform. If there was ever a chance #6 would be retired for him ... I hope that's not even the slightest consideration anymore. Had it ever happened, I would have pretended it was for Clete Boyer!

It must have really ticked him off that Alex won the MVP in 95 and 97 and his little prince has yet to do so. That is correct, isn't it? World Series MVP - yes; but never AL Season MVP - right?
