It doesn’t matter that a San Fran writer pens a “sane” article or the NY Post rants and raves.  As I said before, it doesn’t matter what is in the book.  What matters is that Torre wrote it in the first place.  There is only one reason to write this book no matter what Verducci or Torre say. .. Bitterness and anger (I know that’s 2 reasons and I said 1 – deal with it).  And that tells you a little more about Torre than we either knew before or knew but did not admit.  For this book to be release now, Torre and Verducci must have started this 2 hours afetr he rejected the Yankees one-year offer.  That tells you this was done out of anger.  Mike T. your rant is right.  John, your moderate approach is also right.  You could be on either side of this issue and make valid points.  Torre did alot of good things in NY.  He also made some mistakes.  When he left last year, he handled himself with class.  In my opinion, he now loses that title.
