Immunizations, line forms to the left.

Well, maybe the new Yankees Sab-Burn-Tex will have such a full overblown NY media experience here with A-Rod they can be immunized as if to a virus. Cowpox from Dr. Jeter, not Dr. Jenner, to help them avoid full media smallpox and just concentrate and do their jobs. I wish.

I forgot to address John B.’s post

I’m very torn on this subject.  On some days, I agree whole heartedly with John – A-Rod admitted he used it for 3 years, why do we need to know every bloody detail?  On the other hand, I dislike when people take us for fools and although I acknowledge A-rod is not going to be [...]

It’s 5 years.

Yeah, it’s five years for a limitation on bringing an indictment on a felony in the federal system.  That presumes they stopped in 2003.  However, I don’t buy it.  Sure, he only admitted to stuff that is probably outside the statute but that never stopped a prosecutor from looking into things that occurred more recently [...]

Where are the other 103 names?

This is ridiculous.
Yes, yes, yes…A-Rod is absolutely a poor communicator. He should have just said he knew it was a steroid that he was taking. And that would have ended the line of questioning that is at the root of the belief that he was disengenuous.
“Yes, I knew it was a steroid.” There would have been no [...]

A-Rod is not going to Jail for illegal importation.

Russ, you, as a former criminal defense attorney, should know that you have to look at the statute of limitations.  I think the Statute of limitations in Florida for even class one felonies (the worst) is only 4 years.  So A-Rod and his cousin would be in the clear unless there is some tolling statute [...]

A-Rod’s performance

I listened to his opening statement on the radio and I felt a little sympathy for him.  When I watched the video feed of the press conference, I wanted to punch him right in the nose.  Awful simply awful.  Cashman can’t be happy with this.  That’s probably why in response to the question “do you [...]

A-rod

I only heard his opening statement.  I don’t know what more we want.  We’ll never know the full story.  It seemed like there was more details in his statement than he provided Gammons.  It seemed like he got emotional and broke down when he was talking about his teammates.  I didn’t see it, so I [...]

The Questions

Why does A-Rod need to explain every detail? Why do we need to know EVERYTHING. He admitted it. He’s been unfairly singled-out.
1. You said last week that you used “banned substances.” What, precisely, did you mean by that? What substances did you use and when? How often did you take them? Did you cycle? Did you [...]

Jeter and the Questions.

Fantastic blog entry by Buster Olney today detailing only some of the questions that need to be asked of Mr. Rodriguez today.  Here are just a couple of them:
1. You said last week that you used “banned substances.” What, precisely, did you mean by that? What substances did you use and when? How often did [...]

The Teixeira Effect

In Mark Teixeira, the Yankees have a stellar defensive first baseman. A player that can hit for power and average. A run producer. A switch hitter.
But, above all of those qualities, Teixeira’s leadership ability, attitude, and comfort with simply being himself are what will benefit these Yankees the most.
Jeter is a leader. A reluctant leader with a [...]
