Sorry…but I think this is a bad, bad, bad idea.

Tex is a good guy. So if they asked him to move to third, after giving him $180 Million big ones, he may feel obligated to say yes.

But, Teixeira didn’t sign here to play third base. And the last thing we need is for him to be so focused on his third base defense that he doesn’t hit. Or worse, get’s hurt at third.

Teixeira needs to hit. Especially in the absence of A-Rod. And he needs to be as comfortable as possible to make sure he hits.

He’s already getting accumstomed to a new team and New York. He doesn’t need another transition to worry about on top of it.
