Who’s on Short?

Of course your reasoning is exactly correct.  However, I don’t think that Jeter is emotionally prepared to admit that he can’t play short anymore.  I think it will take him 3 years to get to that point.  And I believe the Yankees will wait until HE makes the decision.

I don’t agree. I don’t think there is any way he plays short for the next three years. At the very, very, very most he could play there next year – but I believe that even that is doubtful and overly optimistic.
